Crafted by Bruno-Eugene Borie this is a grand expression of Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot. Le Petit Caillou is a modern Saint-Julien with a family Grand Cru Classe history dating back to 1855. Thanks to the stony soils' richness (“cailloux”) the wine inherits a deep purple, and a palate of black and red berries. A scent of violet adds to the exotic elegance. The full body and beautiful tannins make this an extremely smooth and lush drink. Drinking well in this youthful prime, but if you can hold it will mature and develop hints of spice and Havana cigar.
